Our story
Avolife started with a simple frustration. Good avocados should not be a gamble, yet supermarket fruit is often either rock hard or already past its best. For something that takes time, care, and the right growing conditions, that level of inconsistency did not make sense to us.
As growers ourselves, we also questioned why quality fruit from our own orchard should be shipped offshore when there is an opportunity to deliver better produce here in New Zealand.
We want to provide consistent, ready-to-eat avocados, supplied locally, with quality controlled from tree to door. So we built Avolife around that idea.
We work to deliver Hass avocados at peak freshness. No guesswork, less waste, and a more reliable way to enjoy avocados at their best.
Meet the team
We are a small, family-run business based in the Bay of Plenty. Avolife is built and run by Callum, Kiri, and their daughter Billie, with support from two loyal team members, Mickey and Teddy.
Callum focuses on growing, operations, and building the business end-to-end. Kiri leads the brand and customer side, making sure the experience is simple and consistent. Billie keeps things grounded and reminds us why quality and simplicity matter.
Mickey, a brown Labrador, and Teddy, a black Labrador, are part of the daily routine. They are usually close by, whether that is out in the orchard or around the packing process.
Between us, we manage everything from growing through to packing boxes and getting orders out the door. Keeping the team small means we stay close to the product and the people we supply.
Where our avocados come from
Our avocados are grown right here in Te Puna, in the Bay of Plenty, a region known for producing some of New Zealand’s best fruit. The climate plays a big role, warm temperatures, good rainfall, and fertile soils create ideal conditions for growing Hass avocados with great flavour and consistency.
We have been growing avocados in Te Puna for over eight years, learning the land, refining our approach, and focusing on what good fruit looks like season after season.
Being hands-on at the orchard level means we stay close to quality, from how the trees are managed through to when the fruit is picked.
Everything we supply comes directly from our orchard. That local focus allows us to control timing and handling more closely, so the avocados you receive are well-graded, carefully packed, and delivered at the right stage to enjoy.

At Avolife, the goal is simple: to make life easier by supplying consistently good avocados. Everything we do is built around that, from how the fruit is grown through to how it arrives at your door.
Quality over quantity
We focus on sending fewer, better boxes rather than cutting corners. By staying close to the orchard and the fruit, we can keep quality consistent and reduce the risk of disappointing produce.
Keeping it local
Our fruit is grown in Te Puna and supplied within New Zealand. A shorter supply chain means fresher avocados and a more direct connection between grower and customer.
Making it simple
We aim to remove the guesswork. Avocados are picked, graded, and delivered at the right stage, so they are ready to enjoy without the usual variability.
Less waste, straightforward packaging
We use recyclable cardboard boxes with minimal, practical packaging. The focus is on protecting the fruit without adding unnecessary material.
